Winners of the first Russian national business accelerator for aspiring fashion designers, called Fashion Futurum, which will take place in Moscow from October 23 to October 27, 2017, in the framework of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia, will become new participants of FashionNet market and receive expert support of the branch-specific working group of the National Technological Initiative (NTI). “Education program will engage founders of brands with FashionNet code, who have never taken part in the fashion weeks before,” claimed Alexander Shumsky. “The accelerator will become the first effort to take a new look at the system of training designers as future entrepreneurs. We are working actively on the educational concept of FashionNet market and the first business accelerator is one of our current tests for future designers. We test hypotheses, study target groups, elaborate cooperation with the partners.”
Twelve projects selected on a competitive basis can take part in the accelerator. Applications may be submitted till October 19, 2017 in Leader-ID system. Russian and foreign fashion experts, representatives of the investment funds will become the mentors of the accelerator.
Winners of the accelerator will have an opportunity to take part in two seasons of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia, and those participants who will take the second and the third places - in one season. “Three winners will have an opportunity to speak at a conference StartupVillage in 2018 and present their projects of technological solutions at StartupBazaar stand. Also, winners of the accelerator will receive certificates for education in the leading international educational programs,” explained the organizer of Fashion Futurum.
Fashion Futurum program includes master classes by international experts, representatives of Skolkovo Foundation, successful fashion entrepreneurs in directions such as new technology, digital economy, financial and legal issues, modern sale and promotion tools.
“Criteria to select participants, structure of educational programs, choice of topics and speakers of the accelerator are based at the value and logic of FashionNet concept,” noted Alexander Shumsky. “Success in the global market of fashion clothes and shoes will belong to those beginners, who will be able to combine the role of a business leader, a brand visionary, a product designer, have skills and competences in creativity, digital technologies’ design, production, logistics, promotion and sales, flexible management systems.”
Concept of the prospective technologies’ market of FashionNet was presented by the president of National Fashion Chamber Alexander Shumsky at St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in June 2017. He claimed that the fashion chain market will achieve USD 2.8 bln by 2035.
