12 Universities with Boiling Points will receive invitations to the NTI accelerator program

Russian universities that created the Boiling Point team spaces on their premises will receive invitations to the 2019 accelerator program of the National Technology Initiative (NTI) and will be eligible for compensation of expenses related to the implementation of their projects. This was told to journalists by the Special Representative of the Russian President on Digital and Technological Development, General Director of the Autonomous Noncommercial Organization (ANO) "NTI Platform" Dmitriy Peskov.

The first university Boiling Points were opened on May 21 with the support of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) and ANO "NTI Platform" at the premises of 12 higher educational institutions – in Nalchik, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Rostov-on-Don (2), Tomsk (2), Tula, Ulyanovsk, Khabarovsk, Cherepovets, and Yaroslavl.

"The first proposals for participation [in the accelerator program] and a full compensation of expenses will be made exactly to these 12 universities," Dmitriy Peskov reported at the press conference in TASS.

He explained that the primary objective of the created platforms is to include regional communities in the technological development agenda.

"In recent years, only 15-20 leading universities have participated in our discussions on technological development. It is sufficient for having individual successful projects, but absolutely insufficient for a technological leap," Dmitriy Peskov noted.
