From Germany to South Africa: ASI’s Partner Companies Presented Their Export Potential to Russian Trade Representatives

The Agency for Strategic Initiatives, together with the Roscongress Foundation, held a discussion on the current situation and the Russian companies’ prospects for entering the international market.

The discussion was attended by Aleksey Gruzdev, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia; Dmitry Glushko, Deputy General Director of the Agency; Daniil Algulyan, Deputy Chairman of VEB.RF; Azer Talybov, Chairman of the Board of Roseximbank; and about 50 trade representatives and representatives of 35 Go Global companies.

The ASI Go Global initiative is aimed at coordinating the activities of leading development institutions to support Russian companies in entering foreign markets.

Dmitry Glushko: "Last year, despite the pandemic, with the support of Russian sales representatives in more than 20 countries, several technological projects, which are our partner projects, entered the international market. There is a basis for development. We see a great demand for promoting and servicing these projects abroad. We are starting to work on this as part of export alliances, to form chains of companies that want to enter the international market."

Aleksey Gruzdev: "Our task is to ensure a closer contact between all market players, to tell them what we could offer for foreign trade partners, engineers, technologists, startups, for Russia to be spoken about louder. The communication with ASI representatives confirms that we are expected in international markets, that our projects are sought-after and competitive."

Partners of the Go Global initiative presented their projects to trade representatives of the Russian Federation abroad in the b2g format. According to Anton Moskalenkov, Director of the ASI’s International Relations Office, last year, the Agency selected 35 projects to support; in 2021, already 55 projects.

Anton Moskalenkov stated that "All these projects have a high technological component. We have specially selected projects that are not related to the traditional economy, but to the economy of the future."

Following this event, the companies outlined activities for their further communication and agreed upon continuing cooperation with sales representatives.
