ROBBO to Enter the Chinese Market

Manufacturer of educational robotics and franchiser of the global network of children's technical circles ROBBO won the Russia-China Competition 2021. This is the first step for the company to enter the Chinese market.
"In recent years, Russia has managed to establish itself as a supplier of innovative educational technologies that is in demand all over the world. We are especially proud of the victory of the ASI Go Global Initiative project in the Chinese market, which is a "pioneer" in the field of technology and one of the fastest growing global markets. If Russian robotics is recognized in China, it means that it has the potential to be recognized all over the world," Anton Moskalenkov, Director of ASI International Office, said.
The Russia-China Competition selects outstanding high-tech startups from all over Russia for their research and commercialization in China. The competition is intended for fast-growing companies that are engaged in the production of innovations, such as artificial intelligence, robotics, the Internet of Things, unmanned transport and others, have a basic knowledge of the Asian markets and intend to work in this region.
This year, the projects were evaluated according to their innovative potential, the level of competitiveness, and the compliance of the business model with the current Chinese economic realities. The teams were assessed according to their entrepreneurial experience and understanding of the peculiarities of doing business in China. The jury consisted of investors, industry experts, innovation specialists and successful entrepreneurs from Russia and China. The winners receive a cash prize of 50 thousand yuan – the start-up capital for opening a business in China –and access to grant programs of the city of Nanjing.
More than 50 thousand people in 21 countries are already studying with the help of ROBBO products. ROBBO's foreign offices operate in Finland and Japan. In the near future, the team plans to open its representative office in China. Over the next year, ROBBO will be organizing four of its own clubs in China, and in the near future – more than a hundred franchise clubs.
"The fast-growing market of educational robotics, according to our forecasts, will double in the next two years. And this will undoubtedly have an impact on our business. Russia has one of the strongest schools of robotics and programming. We expect a significant increase in demand for ROBBO products, including from technologically developed Asian markets," Pavel Frolov, Founder and Producer of ROBBO, noted.
ROBBO is also a resident of the Skolkovo Foundation. Yevgeny Kosolapov, Adviser on the development of the fund's activities in China, noted that the prizes of the international competition were a great help for entering the relevant market, and in China it was also the recognition of the state and corporate audience."
