Social Problem Solving Forum to be held for the first time in Moscow on June 2-3

Its participants will develop new models of support for citizens in different life situations.

On June 2-3 in Moscow at the World Trade Center, the first Social Problem Solving Forum will be held. It is organized by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), the Presidential Grants Foundation, and the government of the Chelyabinsk region.

The Social Problem Solving Forum is held as part of the National Social Initiative (NSI), a mechanism to improve the quality of social services and increase citizen satisfaction.

"The key challenge for the social sector today is the well-being of the individual, his family. The extent to which the system of social support can become "client-centered," attuned to personal needs, largely determines the quality of people's lives – the only relevant indicator of the effectiveness of the social policy. Placing people's interests front and center, we will be able to design the most convenient and quickest algorithm of actions for any situation in life, to help for real, not to report the number of specified services", emphasized Svetlana Chupsheva, ASI Director General.

According to her, the forum should become as practice-oriented as possible. "We expect that when regional managers return from the forum, they will be able to immediately use some tools in their work. We also plan to initiate the development of unified mechanisms for social policy, a unified social standard for the regions," noted Svetlana Chupsheva.

"Social Problem Solving Forum is crucial for the regions in many ways, as it is initially focused on the formation of new practices designed to improve the quality of people's lives. There is a need for synergy between non-profit organizations, government agencies, and businesses for more effective development of the urban environment, social sphere modernization, and promotion of creative and technological initiatives. At the same time, it is vital to gradually remove administrative barriers and set up the necessary technological solutions and digital services as quickly as possible. I believe that the regions should be actively involved in the implementation and promotion of the National Social Initiative, and our colleagues and we have already made the first steps on this path," said Aleksey Teksler, Governor of the Chelyabinsk region.

There will be open locations at the forum site for all participants, where everyone will be able to share their experiences and present their best practices. The purpose of such "islands of attraction" is to collect proposals from participants for further presentation at the forum and discussions with other experts. In total 4 such locations will present technological developments of rehabilitation tools, digital solutions for the management of social programs, guidelines, manuals, books, games, exercises, aimed at the rehabilitation and development of socially vulnerable populations, social entrepreneurship development programs, experience in dealing with different life situations.

"I hope that the meetings at the forum will turn out to be useful and encouraging for representatives of the third sector. Now it is essential to meet with colleagues – to get acquainted with different practices, seek advice, make sure you are making the right moves and get professional support, so that you can quickly navigate in the new conditions and rebuild certain processes. It is also necessary to realize what kind of help is now more in demand and how non-profit organizations can address the most urgent needs. Besides, it is crucial to continue the work we have begun – to think about new ways of interaction between non-profit organizations, the state, and business," said Ilya Chukalin, General Director of the Presidential Grants Foundation.

In addition, the forum will examine the issues of professional self-determination of schoolchildren, the development of inclusive education, and successful business practices in the field of inclusion.
