A welder from Rosatom won 1 million rubles at WorldSkills Hi-Tech 2016 championship in Yekaterinburg
Rosatom's team took premier place in the overall medal standings of the III WorldSkills Hi-Tech 2016 National Championship, which was completed in Ekaterinburg on November 3. Dmitry Kucheryavin, a 27-year-old welder from the Rostov region received 1 million rubles, the grand prize of the competition.
Representatives of Rosatom won 6 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze medals, which made them absolute champions of WorldSkills Hi-Tech in the team standings for the second year in a row.
Dmitry Kucheryavin of ATOMMASH, JSC (part of Rosatom corporation) achieved the best results during the championship. In the welding technology competition, he scored 600 points and won in the nomination “Master of Industrial Development 2016”.
In 2015, 1 million rubles from the Industrial Development Fund went to Alexander Duymamet, Dmitry Kucheryavin’s fellow, resident of the Rostov region. He also represented Rosatom and competed in the nomination “Welding Technologies”.
33 employees of Rosatom Corporation took part in WorldSkills Hi-Tech 2016 championship. They participated in 10 competencies: “CAD Engineering Drawing“, “Laboratory Chemical Analysis”, “Mechatronics”, “Industrial Automation”, “Welding Technologies”, “Network and System Administration”, “Turning Works on CNC machines”, ”Milling Works on CNC machines”, “Electricity” and “Electronics”.
