Projects by Tambov Region Foresight Camp participants to be included in the 2035 regional development strategy
Following the results of the Foresight Camp, which was held under the Foresight Navigation 2017, June 21-23 in Tambov Region, the expert board composed of representatives of regional authorities, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and the Foodnet NTI Working Group approved projects aimed at developing food and nutrition markets.
"All approved projects will be included in the relevant sections of the Strategy for social and economic development of Tambov Region for the period until 2035," said Alexander Ganov, a member of the expert board, First Deputy Head of the Tambov Region administration. He emphasized that the core idea identified in the Strategy is the implementation of modern technologies into the economy of the region. For the development of agriculture, the work will be focused on targeted agricultural, with the FoodNet NTI market as a landmark in the food production.

The Terra Beata is a project designed at the creation of the city digital ecosystem. It involves the supply of food directly from producers to households, bypassing retail stores and the retail sector. The project will be implemented on three pilot sites, settlements in Tambov Region. The Center for Effective Agrotechnologies, a project designed for the creation of the network multiservice model for the regional agriculture and industrial complex. It is aimed at creating conditions for the implementation of the innovative technologies in the agriculture and industrial complex, as well as for reducing costs at all stages of agricultural production. To this end, it is planned to launch a training center for operators of unmanned agriculture systems and present this competence as a demonstration exam at the WorldSkills national championship. The Delicious Health Tourism, a project designed for arranging gastronomic tours around small farms in Tambov Region, which produce environmentally friendly and healthy food Under the project it is planned to create an travel agency that will arrange relevant routes and develop the standard for gastronomic tours. The Health Passport: Personalized Nutrition as a Way of Life The project developers proposed the concept of the health certificate representing a new model of human eating behavior, following special diets in accordance with the individual characteristics of the body. The Health Passport App for gadgets that accumulates data from the Health Tracker, will enable to receive the better food basket recommendations. The project leader is Daniel Gubanov.
Center for Development and Testing of Robotic Technologies The Center will be engaged in the implementation of agriculture technologies such as self-propelled robotic sprayers, climatic chambers, phytotrons, smart greenhouses, and robotic farms. It is proposed to establish a competence center at Michurinsky State Agrarian University that will develop engineering solutions for creating unmanned production schemes for large and small farms. The project leaders are Sergey Druzhkin and Rostislav Filippov.
The Right Land, the project for an objective assessment of the quality of farmland to reduce the risk of soil depletion For this purpose, it is proposed to create a center for integrated monitoring of agricultural lands using the latest and promising developments, robotics and automated systems for obtaining and processing data on soil, water and air conditions. As a result, an interactive map of the earth will be created with segmentation for a qualitatively-targeted purpose. The project leader is Margarita Selezneva.
The Tambov FoodLab, the project for the exchange of information, resources, technologies, products with other NTI markets and the promotion of ready-made world-class Foodnet solutions To this end, the Center of FoodNet competencies, technologies and practices will be created in order to transfer innovative solutions. Under the Strategy of social and economic development of Tambov Region until 2035, Tambov FoodLab can become the foundation for the creation of the Michurinsk technology valley.
More than 200 entrepreneurs, managers and scientists from Tambov and 15 other regions took part in the Foresight Camp. They were divided into nine teams that worked on such topics as agriculture, individual personalized and group nutrition, unmanned production, goods and services delivery, agricultural land monitoring technologies, interaction with other markets, routing and communication.
Sergey Nakvasin, a member of the expert board, the project manager with the Department for NTI Young Professionals Support said that the Foresight Camp participants developed and presented proposals that were aimed at the expansion of both regional and international food markets.
"Some projects, such as the Terra Beata or the Tambov Food Lab, have global ambitions, and Tambov Region is the starting point for their further development," he said. - Moreover, the Foresight Camp saw the origin of the project for creating the network embracing the agriculture regions that are interested in developing the NTI Foodnet market. In addition to Tambov Region, it is also the Altai Krai, which demonstrates leadership positions regarding the domestic launch of Foodnet projects."
