The forum will become a platform for discussing educational standards, searching for ideas, projects and forming a global agenda for the development of a new system of teaching schoolchildren.

“We in Russia are currently discussing new models of mass school education adequate to the challenges of the modern world. In these 3 days we will have an opportunity to discuss successful world and Russian practices with people who form educational policy and determine the vectors of the development of school education. The summit is a unique platform for the dialogue between Russian education specialists and our international colleagues having experience in solving similar problems, for example, in Finland, Singapore, South Korea, Canada and other countries,” said Svetlana Chupsheva, Director General of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, on the eve of the forum.

In her opinion, it is necessary that promising projects for the development of Russian education use the best world practices regarding the content of educational programs, new formats of education, digitalization and personalization tools, training of new teachers and administrative personnel, and development of infrastructure.

The program of the summit includes plenary sessions, round tables, group discussions, consultations. Participants will discuss the direction in which the content of the curriculum will be developed, what new methods of assessing the content of education should be used, how to change the teaching methods and the forms of the organization of the educational process. The subject of discussions will be the areas of state support for new forms of education, the role in the development of public institutions and associations - private investors, social entrepreneurs, parents’ communities. Also, it will be about what skills and competencies the current schoolchildren will need, what is important for teachers to know and to do.

Participants in the plenary session will discuss strategies for the formation of school education in the 21st century.
