The Moscow team won the VI World Championship WorldSkills Russia
The first place at the VI National Championship “Young Professionals” (WorldSkills Russia) with a score of 345 points was taken by the Moscow team. The second place went to the Republic of Tatarstan (228 points), the third - to the Moscow region (107 points). Competitions were held in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk from 8 to 12 August.
“The team of Sergei Sobyanin fulfilled all obligations to develop WorldSkills. Today, it is an obvious leader of the Movement in Russia and an obvious candidate for leadership of the practice of training professional personnel already around the world,” Dmitry Peskov said, the head of the Council of the Union “Development of Professional Communities and Workers of WorldSkills Russia”, director of the “Young Professionals” direction.
A set of 134 gold, silver and bronze medals was drawn among the participants. The Moscow team received 34 gold, 18 silver and 12 bronze medals. The Tatarstan team won 27 gold, 8 silver and 9 bronze medals, and participants from the Moscow region were awarded a set of 11 gold, 9 silver and 8 bronze medals.
The competitions participants, who collected at least 500 points, received medallions for professionalism, which confirm the professional qualification in the relevant competencies.
According to the press service of the Union “Young Professionals (Worldskills Russia)”, the winners and prize-winners of the National Championship will join the expanded national team of WorldSkills Russia to present the country at international championships. The closest are the European Championships in Budapest (September 2018) and the World Cup in Kazan (August 2019).
According to the technical director of the Union Alexey Tymchikov, the champions of the finals of the VI National Championship in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk will qualify for participation in the European Championships EuroSkills in Austria (Graz) in 2020 and World Championship WorldSkills Competition in China (Shanghai) in 2021.
The final of the VI National Championship “Young Professionals” (WorldSkills Russia) was held from August 8 to 12 in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. During the three competitive days, participants from all over the country between the ages from 16 to 22 (in a number of competencies - up to 25) demonstrated their skills in 63 competencies. For the first time in the medal offset of the regions, together with the adult participants, schoolchildren of 14 to 16 years old entered. They competed in the program WorldSkills Russia Juniors for 36 competencies. Competitions were held at the venues of the Trade and Exhibition Center «Alley» and the “Pushistyy” aerodrome. 700 contestants took part in them, whose skills were estimated by 700 experts.
