The President instructed to work out the issue of creating a digital development center at Russky Island.

Until August 1, 2019, the Russian government will submit to the head of state proposals for creating a technology park in the Far East and a digital development center in the field of information security and big data processing (Big Data), as well as assigning a special legal status to Russky Island for the implementation of innovative projects. The relevant instructions of Vladimir Putin on the basis of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF 2018) are published on the Kremlin website.

“The Government of the Russian Federation to work out the issue of giving the Russky Island a special legal status in order to create a comfortable environment for the creation and implementation of innovative projects, testing and pilot introduction of advanced developments, including in the areas of robotics, medicine and biotechnology, unmanned and sea transport, ecology and others in order to ensure the creation on Russky Island of a major scientific and technological center, ”the document says.

Vladimir Putin also instructed to consider the issue and approve by June 1, 2019 a schedule of placement of engineering units, research and development centers of state corporations and companies with state participation - RosatomRoskosmosGazpromRosneftUACRussian Helicopters and other interested organizations on the Russky Island.

Another presidential assignment concerns the implementation of an educational project in the field of digital economy management for government officials and entrepreneurs on the basis of the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU). The government will have to work on this issue until December 1, 2018 in conjunction with the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI).
