The children's version of the Enterprise Factory has evolved from an already active educational project aimed at those who want to start their own business. "Eyeing the success and relevance of the Enterprise Factory, we’ve got excited about the idea of expanding the project’s boundaries and engaging children," explained Zinnurov.

The Kids Enterprise Factory pilot was run in Naberezhnye Chelny in March-April 2017. The basics of doing business were taught to 55 schoolchildren between the ages of 8 and 15.

The educational programme included a theoretical part and practical training under supervision of active businessmen mentors. They worked with children to find an idea, build a business project, determine the cost and the price of a product (service), and study marketing and sales.

During the training, schoolchildren managed to earn 68 thousand rubles to implement their own projects such as internet marketing, website and landing creation, production of souvenirs, including handmade, confectionery, and soap making.

The Kids Enterprise Factory is one of the projects presented to Svetlana Chupsheva, General Director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) during her working visit to Kazan on June 27, 2017.

"Educational programmes that develop the skills and competences of entrepreneurship should be accessible to and adapted to schoolchildren. The sooner we begin to involve kids in exciting projects, the more tremendous effect we will get," Svetlana Chupsheva said.

The Enterprise Factory project is being implemented jointly with the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Kazan Federal University with the support of the ASI Representative Office in the Volga Federal District.
