15 technological projects included in the NTI roadmap in the Republic of Tatarstan

    Development of automated tire pressure monitoring systems for unmanned vehicles, the automated electricity metering system UGREY, analysis of medical data from portable devices: 15 projects in total will be implemented in Tatarstan by 2020 under the regional roadmap of theNational Technology Initiative (NTI).     According to the approved roadmap, 15 NTI projects will be implemented in Tatarstan. By 2020, the number of projects will be increased to 25. The document includes a set of activities aimed at supporting and developing NTI companies in the region; primarily, it is about the formation of the state order from the Republic of Tatarstan, and encouraging orders from major technological companies for NTI projects, Vera Adaeva said.

    She reminded that the Republic of Tatarstan is already implementing the federal project for creation of a digital model of the region based on the data of unmanned aerial photography and cartographic-geodesic fund.

    The new roadmap projects are related to the development of unmanned transport, distributed energy systems, preventive and personalized healthcare.

    In the field of unmanned systems, Tatarstan selected for implementation the projects of controlling the tire pressure depending on weather conditions and type of the road pavement, as well as creating smart transport systems increasing the energy efficiency of KAMAZ motor vehicles. In the area of distributed electric energy systems, the region intends to build an intelligent accounting system UGREY: smart meters with a function of automated sending data of the energy consumption and quality to resource-supplying companies and accessing to the consumers data via mobile applications. In the field of health care developments, the Republic will support the project of an information system for personal monitoring of patients with a function of analyzing diagnostic medical data obtained from portable devices and sensors. The roadmap also includes the development of software and hardware complex for semantic analysis and logging of the content of the project dialog and a system for recording data received from industrial equipment.

    The roadmap, that has been developed by the Ministry of Economy of Tatarstan in collaboration with sectoral agencies and project initiators, was approved by Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic.

    Artem Zdunov, the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan: The Ministry of Economy of Tatarstan, the sectoral ministries, with the participation of technological companies and universities, will be engaged in creating an annually updated map of demand for high-tech projects of the republican companies at the federal level and in the international market.


    The winners of the National Technology Initiative (NTI) competition organized by theAgency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI)and theRussian Venture Company (RVC)in April 2016 were sixteen regions. The following ten pilot regions of the Russian Federation take part in the development of the regional NTI model: the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Moscow, Moscow Region, Novosibirsk Region, Republic of Tatarstan, Samara Region, St. Petersburg, Tomsk Region, Ulyanovsk Region, and Chelyabinsk Region.

    Six Russian regions that have proven to show high interest in the work have been additionally selected, with the status of the Candidate Regions assigned to them: the Kaluga Region, Krasnodar Territory, Udmurt Republic, Tula Region, Republic of Bashkortostan, and Khabarovsk Territory.
